Battery Powered Tools

Whenever I would send an apprentice back to the gang box for a tool I would say get a 110 volt tool and a cord .I will not chase batteries all day No way Plug in and go

Just a "what if"

What if you cannot plug into the available power like in my industry. Have been using battery powered everything for the last 18yrs in ship repair and it works great. If you want a cord then you need to park a generator on the pier, same with air.

Cords and hoses left my life over a decade ago (y)
 
I find it amazing how a good post go sideways. The OP asked about battery brands not extension cords or air hoses.
The OP didn't ask if you hate cordless tools. However things go sideways all the time. go figure.
