Looking to purchase battery for my Oliver Super 55 (diesel), restoration is getting close. What size would I need to crank a diesel.
Thanks for your help.

They did not start the best when new. A set of 550 sleeves and pistons plus installing a full set of valve seast and setting the valve recession to specs will also help with starting. Is yours key start?

Get the biggest 12 volt that will fit in the battery tray. Should have as many cold cranking amps as 2 6 volts, and for a lot less money. There are some hi-torque starters that will spin the engine faster- and that's the key to good starting. Check with after market suppliers.
