bd154 gasket set question

Hi again folks,

i am hoping someone can chime in and enlighten me on the gasket set i just recieved for my b414 (bd154 engine).

this is probably a dumb question but......

what are the 8 copper rings in this gasket set used for?

i dont remember seeing them when i took the head off.

You didn't mention the size, but my GUESS would be upper and lower gaskets/seal rings for the injector pre-chambers.

Are there 4 of one size and 4 a little different?

i think you are correct, these are about 1 1/4" od and there are 4 of these and 4 of a slightly smaller size.

that would explain why i didnt see them when i took the head off, cause i didnt remove anything from the head.
