There was a barn identical to that in this area, one of only a few in Ontario. It was deteriorating, so a fellow carefully dismantled it....now the timbers are slowly rotting in a pile at his place...😐

I actually went looking for the one in the picture about 15 years ago. It seemed to have been taken down and similarly there were stacks of rotting wood. I thought it was kind of unique that is why I took the picture. This one was in the Potsdam, Messena area. Not far from the St Lawrence.

Last fall we visited the Walbridge Barn St-Ignace-de-Stanbridge, Quebec round barn that has been turned into a museum.
It is about 10 miles north of the Vermont USA-Canada border in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, see link below.
A couple years ago we visited another round barn out in southern Saskatchewan that is also a museum now.
