Bearing for Woods mower

There are lots of us using Woods belly mowers, wondering if anyone is familiar with my problem. Yesterday the bearing went out of one of the idlers, a pretty small ball bearing with a 5/8 bore and about a 1 7/8 od. I have micrometers at home so I will get more accurate measurements. It was just pressed in, using a socket, block of wood, and a 4-pound hammer it came right out. Does Amazon have bearings? I haven't needed anything for a while, but now we buy most everything online.

Lots of online bearing sources out there, Amazon is one, eBay and dedicated web sites. But, watch the shipping costs as some of them will be way too high. Best bet is to get the number off the bearing and search for that specific item using your favorite search engine.

Do you have any shops locally who work on lawn mowers, small engines and things like that? I do here. They usually have a real good selection of smaller bearings like that for mower decks and what not.

Here are a couple of #s from my Woods. 203KRR6 and BCA #203RRH10.
Don't know the sizes of mine.

I believe that 203 bearin has several different seal arrangements to it and is also one of the smaller planter disc opener bearings for seed discs and fertilizer. Also was used in alternators as the ball bearing by the pulley.

6204-5/8- 2rs, in a brand I have never heard of.

One thing that worries me a little is the old bearing seemed to have almost 2 thousand interference fit, that seems too tight! But it possibly has been running for over75 years! I will mike the new bearings, and I can polish the bore a little more. I think it should be <1 thousand press fit.

I see 204 of as 1.7805 or 1.8504. Anything I see is one of those two OD.
Width vary as do ID for 204 bearings depending on suffix.

The bearings came today, and measured 1.850, and it pressed in nicely using 2 steel plates and some all-thread. Later this week I will go to the farm and put it all back together, and if it's dry enough try it out, time will tell. The river on the Candian border is called the Rainy River for a reason!
