I have been off the forum for about a month now. The wife fell and broke her femur where it connects to the hip ball and has been in the hospital for a month. Can't put any weight on that leg for another month so I am her nurse, Chief and bottle washer till she can get back on her feet. She is home now and getting around the house in a wheel chair and doing good. I have spent every day with her in the hospital and my girls, grandkids and have stayed with her at night. Glad to get back home!

You are a good man to be a caregiver like that. Not everyone can do it. And I wish her a speedy and complete recovery!

Hi Zane,

Sorry to hear the news and I think I can safely say I know how she feels. On Nov 5, 2013 I broke mine in the same way. I busted the short stubby shaft clean through that connects to the ball. I have a complete left side hip replacement now.

Got my Jube the following spring and the crane and carryall saved the day even though my clutch leg was sensitive.

Did she have a partial or a full replacement done?

All the best,
Terry

Thanks for all the kind words. They do mean a lot to us.

My daughter Lisa took Gina shopping at the mall in Anniston today and pushed her all over the place in her wheel chair. They were tired but had fun.
