Bees anyone, anyone?

I have flowers and fruit trees blooming all over and I haven't seen a single (or married) honey bee this year. I saw a few last spring but not many then. Are they scarce all over? This is in South Georgia. TDF

Honeybee populations have been in decline for a long time now. Colony collapse disorder, varroa mites, and lots of other factors. I've been seeing more and more hives in my area the last four years and plan to get back to beekeeping myself.

i started bee keeping about 8 years ago for the same reason, no pollinators for my fruit trees. if you dont want to keep them, but you have enough space, a local bee keeper can set up hives at your place, you get the benefit from the pollinators, and get a couple jars of honey in return.
