Had my '47 H hooked up to the log splitter today. Worked great except for the shower of hydraulic fluid coming out of the tractor. It was coming out just behind the belly pump from the bottom of the tractor. So, I'm assuming a bad seal. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being "any idiot with a crescent wrench could do it blindfolded" to 10 being "only attempt with proper factory-certified training" what am I looking at?

YES, AND WHILE YOU HAVE THE MANIFOLD OFF HAVE A MACHINE SHOP CUT GROOVE FOR AN O-RING (2) TO REPLACE GASKET

The o-ring idea sounds good as those gaskets were a real pain. If you have a load on the bucket of a loader and stop the drop suddenly, pop goes the gasket.
