I have a Collins' Quality 12" Portable Surface Planer, item # 50776, model # TG19001, Serial # 281440, Date 1994 5, Made in Taiwon that I bought at a flea market a year and a half ago so no paper work with it. It broke the drive belt a couple of days ago and I need a place to get a new belt. The belt was plastic and about 13 1/4" long and 5/8" wide and 5 groves. Total thickness about 1/8". I have not dissasembled it yet to find out if there is any tighten adjustment on it. What I need to be able to do is find someplace to get a replacement belt.

From the description, I think what you have is a "poly rib" belt. If there is a number it can probably be ordered on line or from a bearing supply dealer. If no number, a bearing supply can try to match it.

Bruce Dorsi, My Wife got the belt ordered last evening, Thanks. I was afraid I would have to scrap the machine because I thought belts would no longer be avaible.
