bent control valve

i just discovered that i have a bent control valve and was wondering if any one had any ideas as to how it could get bent. thanks

It wont be the Control Valve that is bent, it will be the Oscillator and that is damaged (the long thin rod) either through being stuck at some time or seized or someone has tried to remove the Pump without disconnecting the Valve. Just straighten the Oscillator as best you can and it will be OK. Make sure that the circlip is in position holding everything together or it will all come apart in use. Should it give trouble and keep sticking, just leave it off the Control Valve and use it without, just like the early tractors...John(UK)
