(quoted from post at 20:48:35 03/19/11) How to straighten A bent PTO shaft.slight
wabble on outside end.

I'm not convinced you can, short of replacement.

Hopefully some of the guys will prove me wrong.

is the pto shaft REALLY bent.. or do you have an old loose clapped out ORC or pto stub extender on it that is loose or bent?

if the pto shaft itself is actually bent.. replace the assy.. about 100$ will get you the entire shebang seal, gasket bearing carrier and all..

could be cheaper to replaces with a salvage one.. or just the sahft and seal and bearing if needed.

this site sells new ones.. and john smith usually has some good used ones.

post back as to whether it is actually the stub shaft out the back of the tractor or a pinned on attachment that may LOOK like the pto shaft.

Pretty much no way to get one straight if it is once bent. Find a good used one or buy a new one that is the newer better 1-3/8 instead of the old small 1-1/8
