Best algae remover

I had a bad case of algae in one of my trascyfuel tanks
Looking for recommendations on what is best to remove the algae

Ask your diesel suppler for some algicide

The biocide sold by NAPA is what I used earlier this summer and it works well. Be aware that it doesn't remove it, it kills it. It turns black when dead but it still plugs filters until the fuel is used up.

I’ve got the tank emptied out and was wanting to try to clean some of the algae out before putting fresh fuel in
I’ve already clanged the fuel filter and had the regulator assembly off the back of the injection pump to clean it’s screen

Oh, I didn't get that part. I think rinsing it out with fuel will carry out any that remains. I'd still treat it because if any at all remains it will be a problem down the road
