On my farm it's my DC. Forgot to put it in the shed last night but still started with no issues at -3 this morning.

Mine is the 47 VA my son redid for 4H Choke isnt needed in the summer and a little choke in fall and winter.

Bales got to be hard without power steering. Hydraulics have always been good on the DCs Ive worked with.

Nice looking clean snow is pretty for about 5 minutes. Then the cold sets in and goes downhill from there. Nice pics

my DC is the only tractor I use in the winter, its my snow plow tractor loader. I do cheat tho, by warming the intake manifold with a lp torch. I don't even try with out heating it up. Works for me. gobble

Sure is nice to see that DC still being used. As far as snow is concerned, my Dad used to say, Snow in December is pretty, snow in April is pretty.....ugly.

The snow sure makes your place look like a winter wonder land, at my place it would not be so good. We've all been there, with that bit of doubt, just before you turn the key. It still gives me a thrill when they srart right up under difficult conditions. Thanks for the pictures.

My best starting is my 730 comfort king gas. Always fires up with half a rotation from the starter even in sub zero temps. Quite amazing. My second best would have to be my big 400.

It has had a couple paint jobs. My brothers did it for dad when I was little. When I got it in the 80s I did it again.

It's very nice looking. Wish I had an old gasser for quick chores. The old 830ck is a little hard starting in winter but it does run a large 8 foot Loftness snow blower. Hope winter is treating you well. Here in eastern oregon low temps and snow. Hope it ends soon!

My 411 always starts great even below zero but my scs and Dcs always did too. I remember my grandfather saying back on the farm when it was too cold for anything with a battery to start the sc with the case mag would always start, he had worn out the cup the hand crank went in so he said he would put a grain bag on the pulley and give it a jerk and it would be running
