i have a budget of 3000 dollars. a little mechanic knowledge. and a bunch of tools. means to haul one and places to store it.

I want one to plow my garden, plow snow, brush hog, haul firewood, and haul water to the garden.

I'm looking for one with live hydraulics, live pto, and power steering.

45-65 horsepower. 3 point hitch. any brand. as long as it runs and has my needs I will look at it.

Why, because you’re listing off stuff like a grown farmer, u would not even have a drivers licence yet. I presume you’re living at home going to school and really got to wondering. Or is this plans for 5 or 10 years from now. Just wondered.

This is for next year. I’m looking at ford selecto speeds.

I'd throw out things like a 4700 or 4710 Deere, newer, yanmar diesel, size as you requested, but if you can find one, it'll bust your budget.
I have a 4300 that's 30Hp and would do everything you want, nice and small, strong horse for it's size with a loader and pallet forks, but again, it's out of budget. A short search on tractorhouse showed some 50hp machines around inside your budget, but you're going to have to work on them. You've given a hard row to hoe with that budget limit. I understand, dollars are dollars and you work with what ya have. If you were to be open to gasoline or propane, and I'd choose propane from a technical standpoint, specially in the winter, but filling it will likely be a challenge, your budget constraints become less of an obstacle.
All that being said, A Ford 3000 to 5000 gas or diesel is an excellent machine also. I would expect them to be closer to your price range.

Actually I prefer any thing as long as it’s not distillate

Welp crossing selecto speeds off
sometimes it is better to have more than one tractor. I wanted a tractor to tiller the garden.
Instead I bought a $1500 john deere garden tractor and love it. I never plan to remove the tiller.
have a 6 foot lawn mower on a 1500 Farmal C. I never remove the mower, my Boss wouldn't trade it for any ZTR,
I bought a Ford Jubilee with a 6 ft woods mower, $5000.
It was my main tractor for years, I would buy a newer numbered ford made in 1954 or newer and stay away from SOS,
I'll never be without a loader and backhoe. for maintaining a property.
My point is not one tractor will do everything. all my

Hmmm. Such a warm welcome on the other forum. Not real sure what your game plan is.
