BIG 400 LP ENGINE

I JUST PICKED UP A BIG 400 LP ENGINE FOR MY 400 TRACTOR. I WOULD LIKE TO RUN IT BEFORE I PUT IT ON. WHAT KIND OF LINES AND GAS PRESSURE WILL MAKE IT WORK. IT HAS A REGULATOR IN FRONT OF THE CARBURETOR AND IS A COMPLETE INSIGN UNIT. IT IS ALL LP WITH NO GAS CARBURETOR. I WILL SWITCH IT TO GASOLINE WHEN I GET IT ON. THANK YOU.

To run a propane DC one time, I used a hand torch and a piece of hose to run it. Took the end off the torch head and clamped a hose on and
clamped the other end to a short piece of copper line on the regulator. Might not be correct, but it worked.

Get a bar-b-que 20# cylinder and hook it up to the regulator. Hose and connection available at farm store. Don't be surprised if the regulator won't work. New ones are available. gobble
