Post below got me wondering what's the largest horsepower production tractor being made today?
I think Deere has 400hp in their 8R series and their 9R is +800 hp. The 9R is center pivot steerPost below got me wondering what's the largest horsepower production tractor being made today?
715 is a bit bigger than the 620. Frame is longer and tracks are bigger assemblies. Not as big as the large 9RX though.JD 9RX at 830 horsepower. The high horsepower 9RX series are a bigger frame and much more operating weight and not just a 620 hp tractor with a bigger engine like what Case did to get the 715.
Not according to the CIH website and tractor data. The both have the same wheelbase. Plus the max allowable operating weight for a 715 is actually a few thousands pounds lower than the base weight on just the JD 9RX 710. The 715 is just a jacked up 620 or 645 with slightly longer tracks. We saw the comparisons between the two tractors when the 9RXs came out.715 is a bit bigger than the 620. Fathom this. 75 to 100ft drills with 1,000+ bushel carts are becoming normal around here. Those need these 700+ hp tractors and the weight. I run out hp and traction with our 60ft drill and 650 bu cart in our hills with a 520 hp tractor. Also I seed fields small as 9 acres with that drill. It’s not a problem.I can't hardly fathom needing that much power in a farm tractor when you can pull 40-60 foot with 4-500HP and how can you turn around in small fields.
913 HP. Wow.wonder what it costs.![]()
