On the post below you asked what model number I was thinking about it is C13N6H also if you want you could tell me what other brands you would consider. The only reason for asking about Cummins Onan is I can get it local and it is the smallest (13kw)I can get in a twin. Thank you for your help. Neil

That is a good number. It looks to be a good unit. I am not a big fan of 3600 rpm units. But I don't think you have much choice anymore in that range.Their is another brand called Champion. I have seen good results. For their other units. But I think they are new to the home standby units.Power Tech also builds good units.Not sure what Kohler and Honda have in that range.

What you need to do. Is total up the load you really need.Then get one a little larger. Better to have more than you need than not enough.A mistake I see often.Of course the best is no good without good support. So if Cummins has good local support.That might be the way to go.May cost you a little more but would be worth it.
