I'm looking to put a new set of tires on my super 77 oliver... Has anyone seen any BLT tires in a tractor pull... Do they do any good? I plan on doing a some field work but also want them to pull good in a pull?

Thanks

I can't say how they would pull a sled but I've got 2 tractors with BKT tires on them and they pull a 21' disc OK. One set is over 10 years old but I don't use that tractor as much. For a working tractor I would recommend them. I can't say how they would last if you road your tractor much. They appear like they would wear pretty quick on pavement.

i have a set on a 165 massey ferguson been on for
3 years.im just a small time farmer who only puts
on maybe sixty hrs a year so cant help much but
they seem okay to me.

I have a set of 18.4/38's and I like them. The
tractor had alliances and they were junk. They
started cracking around the lugs and finally blew
out.

I bought one last year to put on my 1550 utility to match the other new one that was on it. I have used it for a year and have had no problems, I do like the lug pattern and they do clean and bit good. The old Firestone came off easy (6 ply) but that BKT 10 ply was a pain to mount, Good stiff side wall not anything like that weak walled Firestone. One thing I can tell you is the BKT tires are a little taller that the American made Firestones but they were about 1/2 the price too. Bandit

new tires lugs are too soft for pulling. old 'stones or bfg 1/2 tread are best (if 1/2 will work for your farming)
