BKT Tires

I blew out a rear tire last week and need a new set. Does any one know anything about BKT tires are they any good. I can get a brand new set for $190 a tire. They're going on a 49 8n. Thanks!

I've never heard of them,so they're probably made in China,If we don't quit buying there junk,no one over here will have a job!!American made tires are not that much more and are much better quality. Just my 2 cents worth.

I have the BKT tires on my 2N and I am quite happy with them, I paid $178 per tire about a year ago. An american made tire for our tractors is pretty hard to find if at all.

I did a little research into tire manufactures. I found that Goodyear produces tires in 22 countries, Bridgestone/Firestone 9 countries. Titan seems to make there ag tires and Goodyear's ag tires in the U.S. but is affliated with companies all over the world. Alliance is made in Israel, BKT in India. American Tires the best I can tell are 100% owned and made in the U.S.

At my local tire shop a BKT 11.2-28 8 ply cost $200. A goodyear the same size 4 ply cost $350

Well now,I already didn't have a job over here. So, I got a job selling Chinese tires.

I forgot to add a word. The American Farmer tires are made and owned in the U.S. the best I can tell.

I can get a set of American Farmer tires for $218 a tire. I need to go and have a look at them.

I went and looked at the $218 tire it is a Farmer tire not an American Farmer tire. I believe he told me it was made in India. Neither of the two tire dealers I deal with can get a rear tire made and owned by a company in America. One of them can order front tires made by American Farmer but not rears.

I think the Firestone tractor rears and the Titan rears are made in Des Moines, IA. Titan owns Goodyear but I don't know where they are made.
