blast cabinets

I've had a ACE blast cabinet for years, they're out of Michigan,I think they have a website,it has an end door, but not a top lift door on it,I think it's about 24X36",all I've ever replaced is the ceramic nozzle, don't buy a plastic housing one and make sure you get the foot control model or you will regret it,they also have larger models but this one works for most things you can handle in a cabinet.

here is the one i have, the vac system keeps the dust down real nice. upgrade to the foot pedal and the carbide nozzles. the aluminum oxide media works really good. keep the pressure around 80 psi. over that and it wears out the media real quick.

Before you buy one make sure you have the compressor for it. They say that they will operate at 80 psi and your compressor will go to 125 to 150 psi.

Problem is volume most home compressors will not meet the demand of the blaster. I have even put in a expansion tank to help with the problem.

I ended up buying a hundred gallon 2 stage compressor [220v] and even that needs a brake for recovery time .

I just have a harbor freight free standing blast cabinet. Like some of the others say, you need lots of compressor. I have 2 60 gallon 3hp compressors that deliver about 10 cfm each at 90 psi running mine. One unit runs constant while the other cycles unless I'm blasting non stop for quite a while.
