Block Heat Troubles

I have a 74 MF Industrial Diesel.Does anyone know where i can get the "plug in" part for the block heater?The pegs that come off the block are ok,just need the plug in part off the cord.Thanks in advance.

Try your massey dealer, know mine has them. Im usually good for one a yr.

Hi Jason, I agree to bring to dlr or poss auto
parts. There were 3 diff configurations over the
years. We used to stock (actually 4) cords to
cover diff productions. Chuck

When a block heater cord fails, I recommend being SAFE and replacing the complete heater. Likely, the connector pins are NOT OK and have been overheated, are corroded or otherwise damaged.

Have taken a really GOOD look at them to see if they are shiny and undamaged?

MANY tractors, buildings, and any hay stored in the vicinity have been burnt up by block heater or cord problems.

In many cases, just the cord will cost you $15 to $25 and the whole heater from $30 to $60.

Of course some heaters for special applications cost more.

Still CHEAP compared to the destruction a fire can cause!

Also, I use GOOD all-weather extension cords and replace the original failure-prone molded-on extension cord ends with good heavy-duty connector bodies and tin the stripped ends of the wires before assembling the cord and plug.
