blown head gasket

my daughters to-20 has water in the oil i believe the head gasket blown on no.1 cyl.as it miss firing on that cyl. and blowing oil out the spark plug hole.i also need to know where the no. 1 wire on the gm alternator connects on switch some else disagrees about about the head gasket. any one had similar problem with engine i am about to order gaskets.if you buy a starter drive be they get you the right one the first time.yesterdays tractor was very good to striaghten out the supplers mistake but with shipping it took time

Dint Dang Robert, following those diagnostics about the engine getting water in the oil, misfiring on #1, oil running out #1 and someone thinks it's only a gasket problem. I think #1 has a broke ring and as oil gets on plug it misfires and then spits out around the threads from excess oil hydraulics, you better get John, Jerry, Richard, Scott, Jeff ohio and all to chime in before things go south, but that's more than gaskets.

What is the compression like on that cylinder, is it OK or not, if there is little compression that could be why it is misfiring.Change the Plug so that you know it should fire OK and try it, run it until it gets hot and see how clean the plug is. If it is black or wet then it isn't firing, but check the others to see if there are black, it could be getting too much fuel. If the number 1 is wet then look for water droplets on the plug if there is then you will need to take off the engine. You need to locate the problem don't just take off the Head until you know as it may not be the Head Gasket although it does look like it is. If the compression is down on one cylinder or more then it could be a head gasket blowing between 2 cylinders or it could also be valves. Try to see if there is water on more than one plug. If you have to remove the Head, check the gasket carefully so you can see just where the leak is. Don't touch the Gasket so that you don't destroy the evidence as to where it is leaking.
