I"m working on a BN my question is did any of these tractors come from the factory with a distributor instead of a mag? Or was that something that was done in the field? No matter which what would the tune up spec be? The plugs I think would be the same and wires after that I"m lost> Thanks in advance Steve

As far as I know, all B's & BN's came from the factory with a magneto.

Set magneto points to .013, distributor points to .020

I have a B with a distributor which was a factory option. Plugs are the same for B thru 200 at least.

All of the letter series tractors came from the factory with a magneto. Quite a few were later converted to the battery ignition distributor, simply because of the improved performance and horsepower gains.

The mag ignition and the distributor ignition CAN use the same plugs and wires, but with the distributor you do have a few more options on the plugs.
