Working on an old Bobcat 310. Anyone know where to check Hyd fluid level? There is a filler plug just in front of the seat but I can't find where to check it. Also, is Universal Hyd oil okay to use? Thanks

Hey Tominnebr, I have a 310,but don"t remember where to check the oil level. I"m at work now and will check my service manual in the morning.

Hey Tominnebr, I looked at my operators manual and found out that the oil level is checked by pulling out plugs on the lower area in between the vehicle drive wheels(right side). The plugs are offset - one is higher than the other,so you get the "High" and "Low" level. Be sure the machine is on level ground. The manual calls for Bobcat P/N#6563328 Hydraulic/Hydrastatic trans oil or 10w30 or 10w40 motor oil w/ "SE" rating. It takes 8 gals. total, but they say to fill to the "High" level hole. I think the Universal Hyd. oil will work. Be sure to change the filter, too.
