Bobcat Interlock System Help

Any Bobcat Interlock System (BIS) experts around?

Have a 873 skid steer in the shop that won’t allow you to unlock the loader functions but will let you drive around. Seems like it’s a seat / arm bar sensor issue.

Found a service manual online and it shows a module (first picture) with lights indicating function. I can’t seem to find it on this machine. It isn’t beside the seat like the manual shows. Is the operator screen the only one?

New arm bar sensor has no affect. Multimeter is only showing 2.5v going to it though..

Your machine does not have that box in your first picture, it was used on earlier models. First I would check the fuses below the seat and clean the spades of the fuses so they are making good contact. If that doesn't fix it, I was told by bobcat that the main control module on these series machines were poured in an epoxy type liquid that cracks over time and will allow moisture to get to the contacts and cause lots of problems. Replacing this is last resort because it is expensive. Have them check it out.

There are electric solenoids under the cab that open when you push the green button. It is common for them to stick. One controls the loader function. You tube videos available.
