I can't tell, but if it's just the tip of
the bolt touching you could grind them off.
That's not a big deal. I would think there
are hold downs that would accommodate yours
such as on the 1219 I had years ago. I
don't know off hand.

The bolts are supposed to go nut up so 1 you don't have to knock them out unless you break one 2 so the bolts don't turn 3 so the knurled shoulder doesnt get worn down so it will turn. I would either just get some washers and shim the hold down up a bit 2 grind the tip off the bolt after tight if that would make it clear or get the correct hold downs if available for it. IF you shim them with washers you will need to weld a shim that thick on the bottom side of the hold down to make it hold the knife down to the guards tight. We have welded shims on hold downs to keep the knife down tight on regular bolt on hold downs.

Get the right holddowns for the application. Not only do the tip of the holddown
hold the section, but the ears hold down the rear of the knife back. Washers do
not work correctly.

You need high lift hold downs. The stock ones were meant for a
riveted bar so they dont have enough clearance. Your bolts are
installed correctly and no shimming the hold downs wont work
because the arch still isnt deep enough.
Shoup high lift kit.

You need the high hold downs for bolted sections, like the others mentioned. Cuttingcomponents.com has everything you need, specifically for your #5. I rebuilt the 7' bar on my 9W with guards, bolted sections, wear plates, and high hold downs from them. Top quality parts and service.
