Bottom plow and comfortable bottom

Looking at David's picture of the plowing Fastrac lower down on the page made me think of this.
When pulling a bottom plow the tractor is always at a serious slant. Did anybody ever make a seat that tilted sideways so that the operators lower back didn't have to bend to the side all day? If I rode like that I'd be going to the chiropractor daily instead of monthly.

That feeling of a "slanted seat" goes away after about the first 50 yards. :>)

That's one reason to go to an onland hitch plow.

First reason is you can leave the duals on.

Oh, yeah. All you need is a tractor that'll pull a plow wider than the tractor is. I'm 'fraid the old H would sorta teeter if I brought the hind wheels in far enough to fit in front of 2-14s.:-(

The tractors do slant but that does not mean you have sit on a slant. When I plow I sit turned in the seat so I can keep watch of what is going on behind so you are not setting on the angle you would think. I used to plow for days and days and it never caused me back problems.

I ran a Case 2670 that the seat would swivel a little bit side to side, but not tilt. Sometimes that was nice. Then I ran a Versatile 800. I liked it better for the articulated steering.

Yeah, I remember plowing 6 to 8 inches deep on side hills and sometimes I could swear it was going to tip over. Those fenders were about worthless for any protecteion.
