Brake shaft seal leaking

My 1962 Dexta diesel is loosing the gearbox/hydraulic oil from a seal on the brake shaft. This is the shaft that runs through the clutch housing, for the left side brakes its leaking on the right hand side. So far I have been unable to remove the brake petal leaver off this shaft. Is there a way to do this with out damaging anything?

I was able to do the one on the left without much of an issue.
