Brake springs

I'm replacing the brakes on my '61 MF35 but don't have any spring pliers. These springs seem pretty hard to get off....is there a trick to removing these blue springs or should I get a special tool to remove. The hold down springs are easier to move but are still aggravating. Any tips are welcome. Thanks.

Hello. My 135 is probably the same. The short ones with the pin, can be pressed down and twisted a quarter of a turn - a pipe stub is the tool, and could be put on the same way. The 2 blue ones at the opener is easy to put on, pressing the shoes beside each others. The last spring is also easy to put on - you just press the shoes beside each others, and put in the adjusterscrew. Another way is a thin wire hook, and a screwdriver as a prybar.Frema.Dk.
