Bringing Harnesses Into the Cab

Greetings to all. Just wondering what most do to deal with multiple harnesses coming into the cab from a planter. This is a 40 Series cab and there is a perhaps 4x12 steel plate with removable bolts just under the back window right side so one could make quite an opening and somehow plug up the open area with harnesses pulled through but I wonder if just shutting them in the window isn't best. If I could cut little holes in the plate I might but the multiple connector heads are 2". Also anything wrong with leaving the connectors on the outside instead of pulling them into the cab? I suppose water could get into them. I appreciate your ideas.

I use foam strips that are used for window a/c units to seal where the wire come in on my tractors. Just put it around the harness and bolt the plate back on.
