As many times as the trans. filter was changed it should never give any trouble. You're right, don't see them very often anymore.

Sure didn't get used much, even in the early days. I would love to find a tractor like that too, but fellas around here , that bought 970-1070 tractors cranked way way more hours on them then that. By the time they where ten years old they could easy have 8000 hrs. Then they would be sold to a home where they sat on a feed mixer or manure pump cause they wouldn't shift good,Just used hard and neglected. Tough , tough tractors. They don't bring much on auction here 3-5 Grand , every one is scared of the power shift. Looks like you have landed a nice tractor !
