Broken spindle

Tomorrow I'm going to go out and check international tractor for sale that has a nice loader on it but it broke the spindle. Replacing the spindle button concern me at all and I'm going to ask the guy if I buy it if I can leave it there until I get a new spindle and it and then come pick it up. But if he doesn't want to do that or he wants to charge me out right rage's price just to leave it there for a while until the part comes in then I'm going to want to load it up on a trailer and get it out of there. My thought is to come up with some kind of cart or something I can put on the bottom of the loader and then lift the front end up with the loader and then just drive up onto the trailer with the cart attached to the bucket. Just wondering if anybody has had experience doing something like that on here. If you have what have you found that works or doesn't work. Thanks

Back tractor on trailer and use loader bucket for front wheels...

Tow trucks have 4 wheel car dollies for 4wheel drive cars that cant have wheels on the ground. My bet is you can rent one from a towing company for modest cost. Jim

That's an excellent idea get two of them use some 20,000 lb ratchet straps to mount them to the bottom of the bucket. pick that front end up with the bucket and just drive on never having to worry about scuffing the Decker or ruining a ramp. that is a terrific idea Jim thank you

Just get a couple 4x4s and put them under the bucket and slide on them. You can cut a small notch in them for the cutting edge, or even screw on a piece of 2x4 too.

use Jon f mn's idea of skid wood under bucket so it can "bypass" all that might snag the bucket as it slides.

I'm assuming wide front end. Jack up the broken side until the axle contacts the frame. Chain it tightly to the loader frame and drive it. I have driven a tractor several miles in that condition.

Put a chain from loader to front end lift it up and drive on three legs

Duh, that's what you do with a multi axle trailer that has a flat. Why didn't I think of that. Now I just have to hope the other spindle holds.

Just let the bucket work for the skid going forward holding the front spindle off the ground you can still steer with the one wheel and brakes. With the bucket tilted back a slight bit it will slide on dirt or even cement that way. Also if your trailer has ramps that are not fully smooth the dollies from tow trucks will catch on the cross bars in the ramps. The bucket will slide on the ramps sides.

Honestly, I wouldn't even ask about leaving it there. Some folks start getting sellers remorse once the item is fixed and still on their property.
