Broken Starter Post

Yes...The post that the solid band attaches to from the solenoid...Copper/threaded, and snapped clean...

Any replacing this without removing the starter?

I don't think so....gotta put it in from the inside of that starter.

If it broke off flush with the bottom NUT, there IS a fix. CAREFULLY remove the nut and replace it with a starter repair stud.

If it broke BELOW the bottom nut the starter will have to come apart to have a new stud soldered in place.

That slotted head bolt solders to the field wire. Dont twist on it,you will mess up the field wire.Field wire is a flat copper bar.Time for the starter shop.

I do have maybe two turns showing above the housing...
