Bought a 6 foot King Kutter...just right for the 430.

I'm always amazed at the brush hogs ability to cut as it does. That should work well as I sometimes use a 5 ft (don't know the brand) with a 300 and we tackle some tough stuff that a bigger set up can't get to. My only complaint, is that it tends to leave a row of cut material along one side.

I've found that if the rotary mower, mines a 6' King Kutter too, is not level it leaves a pile on one side too. By design it should leave a center row behind the mower. Try a lower gear and observe results after leveling the tractor pull arms.

I finally got to use my case brush cutter this summer.

It also tends to leave a row of grass on one side.
several things can cause it,, end of blades worn off too short,, like said unit running unlevel, this can be front to back as well as side to side,, also a bent blade can cause it,, tires pushing it down and running to high to pull it up to cut it,, think thats my list of causes I seen,, may be one or more or none of what I said

Nice Purchase Steve, I bought one also but got the HD Commercial version, the VA runs it like top even in 3 to 4 feet tall material, not that I have even hooked on to it this year yet,, as no growth to cut
Is that one 4 wheel drive?
talking about the mud on the tires? we had shower the night before, road had a puddle

Is that why yours is red? Only the yellow ones here...noticed the gearbox is filled with cornhead grease.

Yes the HD ones were painted red, mine had the flex hitch I did away with that, it does also have the Next bigger Series PTO with sli[ cltuch and 6hp gear box rather than the std type with 40hp gear box and shear bolt std, I see now these are yellow, these also have a much HD frame and deck plating, also are setup to not hold water on top of the deck
