BS 3HP Motor Carb

I need help!!! I just took apart an old tiller to repaint it and touch it up. I also painted the motor. It is a B&S 3hp motor. My problem is, in putting it back together i cannot for the life of me see where the throttle hooks up......Where can I see a picture that will help me ?

Briggs has a website, engine numbers are important, as a staggering variety were built.

Can you send us a photo, One look, and someone
will know [ mabey me ? ] If it's the old Vac U Jet,[ carb built into gastank, choke on end ] those carbs are great. If it's the 2 piece
Flo Jet [ looks like a Chevy 6 carb ] than that takes a totally different setup

It is the old type. It"s built into the gas tank and two bolts holds it to the motor block. The choke is on the end and the throttle is a "L" shapped bar that you pull manually. I will try to get a picture to post tomorrow..

PS...as far as numbers the onlu number I can find is stamped into the motor cover.

B + S wants the Model Type and Code

The old engines used a different numbering system, you'll need those # to look up parts
and photos. Yes, the numbers are stamped to blower housing

Here is a picture of the Carb. The small piece on the gas tank is the one that I cannot locate where it goes..

Thats the numbers you need to buy parts, or get info, on B&S engines. Model, Type, and Code.
Briggs had Flo-jet, Vacu-jet carbs, but they weren't the same. One had the fuel pump built into the side of the carb, but i can't remember anything about the other type.
If you could find one of the older booklets about those engines, you would be in luck, as the drawings are easy to see, and the printed stuff is thorough. I worked on some of them, and was given the books on them. Send me an email with the numbers from Model, Type, and Code, and i'll look them up.
