Bubbling battery again

Thanks for the info on battery and sending photos.

I took in the Alt. and battery to be tested. The battery tested GOOD. But the Alt. tested BAD!

So I get a new Alt. take everything home put it on the tractor and it still boils and bubbles the battery. I'm sending these pictures to see if anyone notices something wrong in the wiring. I labeled the wires to help with the different points of connection. I'm still wondering about an inline resistor of somekind. Any help is welcomed.

Would it be possible to get a voltage reading, cut off, and a voltage reading running?

I'm also trying to figger out if the 2 wires going to the toggle switch need to be swapped.

But it is making my head hurt, maybe the big boys will be along shortly, Bob?

I can go from 0 to drunk in an hour, and I have been home for an hour and a half...

Steve.........did you know that a 12-volt alternator will make a 6-volt battery bubble??? everytime!!!

You are using a 6-hole, 12-volt battery, arn't you???

I find 'nuttin' wrong with your wiring, the labels make sense.

Yer shiny 12-volt alternator may be TOO SHINY.

NEW PAINT is an INSULATOR and the "normal" ground path thru the tensioning bracket and the block swing bracket may by BLOCKED by yer new shiny paint. I'd at least run a separate ground wire from back of the alternator (I see potential attaching nut and screws available) Iff'n not available, I'd sure find a screw to use and really GROUND yer alternator good.........Dell, a 12-volt advocate for the right reason

Did you have them test that new alternator before you walked out the door????? If not then you may have got a new/rebuilt bad one. Common now days to get one that is bad. Every time I buy one I have it tested before I ever walk out the door. Last time I got one it took them 3 or 4 tries to get one that worked as it should have

I have a 6 volt posi ground Chevy one wire alternator.
