Did someone step on your toes today? You are nastier than ever. Thanks for the info Most people here know where to BUY the service manuals and operational manuals, also know where to look for parts.

B&D has good advice.....it always helps to have the manual.. Sometimes I can figure things out for myself if I have a picture.

And as for the 800 number, I had quite an experience last month. I called the local JD dealer and had him get me a service manual for my 2520. Price was $80....not too bad. I had to wait two or three weeks and received a call from them to pick it up. Wife went by and brought it home. $96......sixteen for shipping. I think I got hosed....I was going to send a note to JD headquarters. Prices are bad enough without charging $16 extra. Called the 800#...$80 w/$8 shipping. It would have been cheaper for me to buy it from the 800 number.

When I ask advice....I usually just want the correct answer. I don't mind an attitude if the guy's usually correct. Just sayin'

When I bought my 4320 with 158 loader and 318 garden tractor, I ordered CD manuals from the 800 number. Got the discs and the guy I spoke to sent an email asking if I received everything okay. Pricy, but good service. Now if the dealer I bought my JD HX10 mower from would send me the manual for it he promised.....

Guys, You missed my point this is a furum. where you ask Questions and hope to get answers. not to be told go buy a manual. If you look around several old timers don't visit these boards any longer because of the BS

There are many different personalitys on here a lot of knowledge and experience and a bit of attitude mixed in, no one should take a rough edge too serious,,along with a wrong answer or technique once and a while, I enjoy the company of every one on here, and the things I share and learn is great.....

I agree with everything you stated. I thought I was fairly knowledgeable on JD's but have learned a lot being a member of this forum and unfortunately given some wrong answers a few times. I for one do not mind when someone corrects my wrong answer. I've been amazed at the vast knowledge(not just JD) that is available on this forum.
