Build Cards

What is the current method of obtaining build cards? Also,
what all can you get cards for? For example, is it only tractors,
and if so what model ranges or year ranges are available? If
someone knows the current cost and lead time, that would be
great info as well. Thanks!

This lady has the answer to all your questions. She is very accommodating but has other duties other than build cards and sometimes just gets overwhelmed. So be patient and nice to her or you'll get a visit from several very big and ugly thugs with a 55 gallon drum and couple sacks of fast setting concrete mix to take you for a short swim.

years back I got build cards for all my tractors but one. They did not have the card for my 1941 SC. Case lost most of the 1941 records. That was the one tractor I really wanted a card for. Wanted to see if my SC came from my home town dealer. Back then there was two Case dealers in my area. The other dealer was 14 miles away in Alma. I bought the SC at an auction seven miles from Stamford and seven miles away from Alma. I had a 50/50 chance!

If you know the names of these dealers, send a Message to Don Rudolph via this site. He is compiling a listing of past and present Case dealers. Use the heading: Don-Dealer.
My name is Tom Railsback and I think I stopped to visit you some years ago.

I was successful a couple years ago in securing a build card for our 1941 SC. Joan was the super nice gal who took care of me.
It was built in February and delivered to a depot in Oshkosh? and subsequently to Kalepp Implement in Abbottsford, WI, where my grandfather bought it, brand new. He traded several work horses in on it.

Joan is really great over at the headquarters. She went through and helped me out with a project. I was seeking to see how many Case SC center exhaust tractors were built in 1941. They were built from serial number 4500001 to 4503029. Case did not number each model of the S, D, and L series individually, which makes tracking down how many of a specific model run during a year (or a specific model before significant changes were made) were actually produced. She was kind enough to rifle through each and every build card in this serial number range and give me the exact number of SC center exhaust tractors produced. Total center exhaust SC's is 2388. I have been keeping track of every 1941 SC I come across, and adding the serial numbers to a registry in order to determine how many center exhaust SC's are left out of the 2388 produced.

I should have had her keep track of each S model individually (S/SI/SO/SC/SE) during this serial number range, and I would have had each variation productions numbers.

So, if anyone has a 1941 SC that has NOT been added to the registry, I would be happy to add it!
