Bullet connectors for jets

In an emergency.

It looks like the primary side of a Holley four barrel. I have never seen anything like that, maybe some kind of anti-tamper device. I used to run jet extensions in the primary to prevent the jets uncovering when leaving the line. They were just a brass tube that pressed over the jet. Maybe a different type of extensions.

The answer is a roadside repair in the desert 2000 miles from home. Carb had an ethanol adapter block to burn some cheap fuel in California. Required removal of the jets with this adjustable block in their places. Block began to disintegrate on the way home...my son had all his parts except no jets. He did have a handful of electrical stuff and decided to try these connectors. It worked well enough that we drove the thing around for a couple years until recently the power valve let go and he had to put the right parts in.

The only driveability problem was that it had a dead spot just off idle and made feathering the clutch difficult during precise backing.
Other than that it ran great.

More reasons for diesel engines.
except you can't fix a diesel in the dessert if it breaks down. you need a $1000's worth of parts and a lot of tools. lol

I love diesel trucks but don't own one as the cost of my other families repairs on there trucks is 2-4 times what my gas trucks have cost me. I have paid max $7250 for a truck, and maybe $500 in repairs in 2-4 years. I have only junked 2 trucks in 35 years the rest insurance have written off, So I survive on gas trucks.
My brothers and nephews buy $18000 trucks and are always doing injectors or something. If i need to pull a heavy load I can usually borrow my one brothers truck and trailer for $100 a day. maybe use it once a year. there income is 4X mine as well so to them it isn't a big deal
