C and DC head

If the pistons do not go higher than the top of the block, a 5505 head will bolt right on. So will a 5576 depending on what type of pistons are in it. The C does not provide an oil passage to the rockers. A modification would have to be made to do this. I helped my neighbor put a DC head on his CC after he dropped a valve seat from the CC head.

The old head is off now. I checked the Pistons do not go any higher than the block surface. Reason I'm thinking of replacing is this engine hasn't run in 50 years, and a claiming nice 1 came up on Craigslist. I may go get it in case I need it
