C123 engine balance

Is the Farmall c123 engine internally or externally balanced?

There are no external balancing devices on that engine the crank is balanced by drilling on the crank you can see where they drilled on the counter wts of the crank

My brother was a industrial salesman. He was at the Illinois plant
in the 60s and 70s. He told me the pistons and rods were assembled
then weighed. The ones that weighed the same were put in groups to
be installed in an engine.

No dynamic balance was used. Two pistons move up two move down. The rods move outward on two and outward the opposite on the other two. It is not perfect, but
simplicity wins. Each piston and rod is (as mentioned) matched for weight to eliminate some chance of vibration. Jim

Thank you guys for the helpful information! I'm rebuilding a c123 for my 1948 c & I'm doing the balance work on my own & didn't want to try it if it was externally balanced.
