i have a 70 c60 i have been restoring for a few years ,,i finally pulled it into the garage for a major new motor ,,700r4 and i in the process changed the rearend. i put a rearend in out of a 5 ton with a 2 speed rearend,,,the biggest hassle was the u bolts getting them right[broken springs,,etc]. i done this because i found out the brakes are much wider on this rearend ,,an excellent addition just cause more braking surface. maybe 1 to 1 1/2 inch wider ,,,i am looking for a master cylinder that will give me 2 fluid bowls for my brakes. i am fixing to put my transmission into my truck but i have 1 problem,, this tranny swap changes my e-BRake ,,i have to have an emergency brake so i can get inspected,, any ideas,,i built this truck specially for hauling light to medium loads,,and fuel milage,,i am carrying 100 gallons of gas so i can go 1500 miles without filling up,,and going to 100 20 tires,, i thought maybe this rearend change you may consider ,, i have excellent stopping power,,and should be set with my overdrive,,what do you think,,how can i improve it more,,a lot of opinions is better than 1 ,,,basicly am i doing right in your mind,,thanks for letting me ramble on and i am looking for any opinions ,,thanks burg hamons.
