CA Hydraulics

A friend just called me and said he rebuilt the hydraulic
pump on a CA he is working on and now the lift arms go
right up, but wont come back down. It has been too long
since I have worked on this system. Looking for advice. TIA

Same exact pump as a WD/WD45. Linkage not right or Traction Booster link not connected which makes the pump work all the time.

They’re not exactly the same. Plungers are the same, but the housings aren’t. Same principle of operation.
Thanks for the tip, any ideas how to get the plungers out . I have one that is flush with the housing and I can't ge hold of it withany of the tools I have.

No, I have already done that and it won't pop back up. I assume that the spring is broken and there is nothing there to push back up in the plunger

You might try using air pressure to blow it out. If that doesn’t work, you may need to just sacrifice the plunger. You can drill a hole in the end and use a slide hammer to pull it out.
