CA Hydrolics

My tranny and hyd system is full of water. I replaced the fluid a while back after draining from all three drain plugs, but i can't seem to get all the milky crud out. Is there something i can use to help to clean the stuff out, something like using motor flush?

i have always used good ol diesel fuel to rinse my hydrolics, i will runn it through several times, be sure to catch it with a funnel with a filter in it, do not run the hydrolics w/ diesel in the system

I use kerosine rather than diesel. it combines with water. LOL

Kerosene is immiscible in water meaning it does not mix with water. Kerosene is very close to Jet-A aircraft fuel. Fuel cells on Aircraft have sump drains specifically for the purpose of removing the water that collects from condensation in the fuel cells. So the best way to flush your system would be with an alcohol based liquid that is miscible or one that will bind with the water molecules. And as stated it is a good idea to accomplish multiple flushes. You can refill with hyd oil run it for a bit then repeat the flush. Do this until you no longer have a milky appearance in the oil. The color is actually suspended water molecules in the oil. Hydraulic systems do not tolerate water contamination. Best of luck.

WOGS you had better take a refresher course in hydraulics. if molecules were mixing, you would have a different element. LOL
