CA rear rim confusion

I posted in the wrong place earlier: forgive me, I m learning.

When I first got my 1953 CA Allis, I knew the rear rims would eventually have to be replaced, as the calcium chloride had started it s work on them. I got a couple of years of light duty out of them, but the time has come. One is falling apart and I can touch tube! I started looking for replacements, and got a bad case of sticker shock at the spin out wheels, and confusion about what else fits.
I m trying to find something that will work with little or no modification, as I m not even remotely handy at that sort of work. Changing the rear wheel stance is not important to me, as this is a piddle with tractor only, and I have never changed rear width.

The rear wheels off a Farmall A, B, BN will fit. Also some Averys and MM Bf, BG, and some 335. There could some others that will work.

I just went thru this with my CA and I feel your pain. No matter what other model of tractor you try that uses the same rim size, if you are wanting new, you will be paying thru the nose. The best advise that I can offer is find used or find a local welder nearby. I ended up going with the welder option, I bought two universal 24 rims, and he welded an offset ring in them with holes drilled to match the bolt holes for the cam locks and bolted the rims directly to the hubs. It is not pretty or factory, but it works. In my case getting two new universal rims modified cost less than one new spinout rim.

Depending on the overall condition, it could be possible to repair the originals. Since the tires/tubes would have to be pulled to exchange to different wheels, much of the difficult work would already be done. The rest is just metal repair.

Find another identical wheel that is also rotten and cut out a good section and patch it in, drilling a new hole for the valve stem. Done it before. Not that big of deal, but I do all my own work.
