calling- buickanddeere 435

since I know I will have a difficult time finding an oil filter housing and the brackets for a 435, I have decided to go with a full flow filter/ oil cooler. I have a decent DD dealer within 30 miles from me, so I don't think it will be a problem finding the housing. My question is- with it having an oil cooler , what size injectors should I go with? What size does your 3-53 have? I am thinking it should be N45's with piston spray rods, and a 4-53 oil pump. I know I will have to change the ring and pinion with this setup. If you have a suggestion on injector size please let me know.
Thanks, and sorry for the long post.

Can I use N35 injectors without spray cooling with the oil cooler/water pump? or would that not create enough heat and gum up the top of the piston? I really don't want to tear up a transmission with N45s.

I ran a set of N65's once in mine for a tractor pull 1 time and didnt notice anything ridiculous. It smoked bad when lugged down but normal driving it wasnt bad. Are you increasing rpms or changing to a 4 valve head. An interesting setup would be a turbo on that little tractor.

A four valve head on a 2-53 requires cutting a 3-53 or 4-53 to size and bolting or welding an end plate on. A little work on the valve cover gasket sealing and rack mechanism too.
It won't start very well with huge injectors unless the throttle has the rack pulled back to approx 1/3 travel.
Don't worry about an oil cooler or full flow filtration.
I haven't tried different injectors but I suspect there is no HP to be gained past an N70.
Go with the spray rods if using 45's or larger.
The factory R&P will be ok if a high pressure synthetic lube is used. And if the weight is kept to 4500lbs.
The 3-53 is a "spare" sitting on the shop floor. It's a cast head, aluminum block four valve unit from a Gamma Goat.Haven't totally decided what to do with it yet.
I seen a turbo 435 at NY Expo last summer. I tried to find him after the pull but he was long gone.

I miss mine. Mine is the yellow one steve gittleman from ny ownes. I might try to find another some day with power steering and hydraulic remotes. Have since sold my oliver 1900 so Im out of the detroit powered equipment, as I can only dream of the noise and play with my 6 cylinder deere diesels.

Don't worried about starting, you just have to find the sweet spot to place the throttle at.
45's will may make enough smoke to be visible but that's about it.
The condition/type of aircleaner and the type of muffler will be the difference between smoke and very little with 45's.
