a while back you said you used some silcone tape or something on the hood of your tractor to keep it from rubbing what was it and were did you get it. Thank you

I think he said Teflon tape, I use it on my airplane on the cowling, Aircraft Spruce carries it, somewhat pricey, but it really works !

YEP aircraft Teflon tape, pricey but works great.
