Can anyone identify this shank.

I thought these were IH vibra shanks a couple of years ago when I bought a pallet full. They still had the part numbers in silver marker on them. I never ended up buying a vibra shank, probably going to unload them if I can figure out what they are off of.

Hiniker. When I hauled for them I would take a load of tractor cabs out East then haul a load of field cultivator shanks back from Ohio I think.

The photo I see online of a Hiniker unit angles the spring holder up behind the attachment bar at about a 45 degree angle. Hiniker shovel unit It’s from eBay so we have to trust he knows what he is selling.
IH Vibra-shanks pull on the spring instead of pressure against it collapsing it, they were much quieter than others. (see link) IH Vibra-shank shovel unit
The farmer we work together with on some farming had an Oliver field cultivator. It was most likely built by some other manufacturer for Oliver. It also collapsed the spring, each shank connected to a pipe that slid inside the spring. Man all that squeaking would drive you nuts, especially if you were used to a quiet IH cultivator.

I have a 15' IH vibra shank I have been trying to sell for 6 months, and seems like no one wants it. Central MO. Every shank and spring unit on it is good. Sure would be a good source of used parts. Neighbor has the scrap man working right beside me, so I guess Its days are limited.

I'm taking back my Hiniker guess. Someone bolted a ground deflector on there so that tells us it is from a row crop cultivator. Hiniker never made a regular row cult. They only made those big single shank cult. with the 14 inch shovel. I made some ground deflectors on my 12 row cult for the shovels that followed tractor tracks. Otherwise they would slab and cover the little corn.

Found it, it’s a Case IH tiger mate shank.

Too bad you are so far away as I would give more than scrap price for it.
