ordered rebuilt kit for my bd144 engine in the 354 diesel tractor and the wrist pin bushings are to big, i understand they have to be pressed in and honed to size but the od is to big to go in the rods. i ordered another set from another company thinking maybe they put the wrong ones in the kit but they are the same size. the only site i see that list the dimensions list it as the same ones i recieved. i went by the ih dealer today and ordered some there to try will be in saturday. can still read the part number from the old bushing and its the same as on the bag of these new ones.
anyone ever ran into this problem or know where can buy bushing just by sizes i looked on google but didnt come up with but couple places that actually listed them by size. below are the specs
wrist pin measures 1.1022
rod measures 1.155
new bushings are 1.175
the machine shop said he can get ones to fit at $25 each vs the $2 each i gave for these $7 at the case dealer, $100 for 4 bushings just seems way to high if i can help from it.
