Can't find power steering hoses

I have a 1962 MF35 utility/industrial tractor with front loader and factory power steering. I tried to replace the power steering hoses, but nobody has the correct fittings to make new ones. It looks like 3/8 hose with small brake line size ends. Any ideas?

Check out the thread "Wasted afternoon" lower down in this Forum. It details how another poster dealt with a similar problem.

A 1/4" compression cap fits perfectly.

The steering tower is the same but the pump is a different style. The hoses I need go from 2 tee blocks in front of the tower to the cylinders at the front wheels. 4 hoses, they all look like the one in the pic. About 41" long.

You’re going to the wrong place then to have hoses made. Those are straight forward which any hyd shop should stock. “Green line “for example is one place here.

You might look in the parts book under 135. Someone else would know better than me.

I agree with rustred. A good hydraulic shop should be able to make the lines for you. They should just be 1/4" flare fittings. My 202 is pictured along with the part numbers. I would assume your's are the same.

When I replaced the old power steering valve with a new modern type in my 202, I needed new hoses. I was looking on my computer for hydraulic shops and actually found one shop about 20 minutes from me. It was kind of hidden way back off the highway and I never knew it was there. Anyway they built me exactly what I needed.

Try searching for a hydraulic shop.

Thanks everyone for your responses, it's greatly appreciated. Thanks Stan, I think that's exactly what I need.

No problem.

I would call a local equipment dealership and see if they make or could recommend a shop to make your hoses. AGCO looks to be double the price. For $300, it's worth a few more phone calls.

Edit: you should post this in the manufacturer forum. Threads here disappear quickly, this gets a lot more traffic.
